An international team of scientists based in Spain and Switzerland has discovered a new strain of the coronavirus that seems to be particularly prevalent in Europe. Scientists said the new strain began spreading in June. As a second wave of COVID-19 grips the continent, the finding could help EU nations better deal with the pandemic.
