WSU School of Music “Mariachi Leones del Monte.”

March 2, 2023 marked the culmination of the Hostile Terrain 94 (HT94) exhibition. The museum held two public programs with HT94 creator Jason De León. From 12-1 pm De León offered a Foley Institute Lecture in Bryan Hall 308 titled “The Land of Open Graves: Raising Awareness about Migrant Life and Death Along the US/Mexico Border” (in person and livestreamed).

This video was from a reception at the museum with De León and WSU faculty and students who contributed to the HT94 exhibition and workshops. Music was provided by the WSU School of Music student ensemble “Mariachi Leones del Monte.”

The HT94 exhibition was on view at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art January 17-March 11, 2023.
