Perennial and Permanent Planting | Veg Garden Tour

Perennial and Permanent Planting. Veg Garden Tour
Liz Zorab of Byther Farm takes us on a tour of her vegetable garden and young food forest.

She shares her tips and techniques, including permanent plantings, that can help save time and save money in the veg garden. The annual vegetable garden can be hard work, so adding in staple perennial plants is a valuable tool, and will mean there's always food, even if you're unable to sow your annuals.

Liz looks at perennials like Taunton Deane kale and Walking Stick cabbage, as well as self-seeded annuals and volunteer vegetables, plus red and yellow chard which can still be eaten while going to seed.

To find out more about her techniques and experience, see her best-selling book, 'Grounded: A Gardener’s Journey to Abundance and Self-Sufficiency' here https://shop.permaculture.co.uk/grounded.html
