Bravo! Vail Music Festival High Notes - The Evergreen

Anne-Marie McDermott introduces this week's High Notes with remarks on the critical importance of commissioning new works from living composers, followed by a performance of a Bravo! Vail co-commissioned work "The Evergreen" by composer Caroline Shaw. Shaw's inspiration for this piece stems from an encounter she had with a tree - old, scraggly, and covered in moss - that she happened upon during a visit to Galiano Island in British Columbia, Canada.
