Crows Remember Your Face for Years — And Tell Their Kids #Shorts

Crows never forget a face, and 17 years later they're still dive-bombing.

You think crows just caw and steal french fries. They're mapping human faces like a witness database. University of Washington scientists wore caveman masks while trapping crows for tagging. The crows attacked those masks on sight. Then researchers who'd never touched a crow wore the same masks across campus. The crows that were never trapped still dive-bombed the masks. The original crows taught their offspring which faces were threats. Seventeen years later, third-generation crows are still harassing strangers in caveman masks they've never met. One grudge, passed down like a family heirloom.
