How are powder coatings produced

This short video introduces the powder coating production process.

The powder coating production process includes the following steps:
First, various raw materials such as resins, curing agents, pigments, and fillers are prepared. These ingredients are then poured into a high-speed mixer and thoroughly blended to ensure uniform distribution.

Next, the premixed material is fed into a twin-screw extruder, where it is heated and melted to achieve complete dispersion of all components under controlled temperature and shear conditions.

After extrusion, the molten material is cooled and formed into solid sheets. These sheets are then broken down into smaller pieces using a crusher.

Finally, the crushed material is finely ground into a consistent powder, producing the final powder coating product ready for application.
