There was no more welcome sound to a wounded Marine in Viet Nam than the whop-whop-whop of a Chopper" coming to get them out of hell.
Powerglide Medevac with Deadlock Medevac Chase in Viet Nam was a crew of dedicated (and most would say "certifiably insane") men that flew unarmed helicopters to the front line and beyond to rescue wounded soldiers. The mission was to get the wounded out of harms way, save their life by providing basic medical care, and get them to the nearest or best hospital to treat their wounds.
