wynonna and waverly | what's wrong

stream of consciousness description ahead, skip if you're not into it. :)

so a couple weeks ago I was looking for a new show to binge, something short and simple, not too hyped, not too time or emotion consuming and I thought, why not start wynonna earp. I've been kind of wanting to ever since it first came out, I love scifi, I love canadian television, why not.

and then
I was hooked

AND THEN
the best possible thing happened! after finishing two seasons in an alarmingly short amount of time, I found out season three was coming out in less than a month (less than a week now * insert screeching sound of excitement *)

to be honest I didn't really know what to expect from this show. all I knew was there was some kind of supernatural shenanigans involved and wayhaught is a thing the internet loves (rightly so, they cute af).
and - I realise by saying this I know I am about to lose the two people who are actually reading this - although I have never seen buffy the vampire slayer (just not the whole thing okay) - I reckon this is pretty much it but modern(ish) and western(ish) and canadian(ish)?
I don't know, but man, do I love it.

and if you know me, you know I love me a beautiful brotp, especially between two strong female characters, ESPECIALLY when sisters. so I was doomed.

I adore the earp sisters.
I love everything about them, from the cliches to the little details that are only theirs.
broody, sarcastic wynonna who wants to be mysterious but is actually a super softy who loves her little sister more than anything in the universe and would do anything to protect her. every time she calls waverly 'baby girl' I cry a little inside.
and waverly, so dorky and terribly smart and so, so kind and brave, waverly is so damn brave, I don't think she gets enough credit for that.

about the video, I just wanted to mention that I used this song because it's one of my faves by one of my favourite bands but it was a struggle. the lyrics are so damn sad and also it's a bit of a love song so you'll notice I butchered it. I butchered it so bad, lynn gunn I know you want no mercy but I am asking for some.
I just *had* to use it for lines such as "I didn't want this throne" as a metaphor for wynonna being the heir, not to mention the whole first verse which is basically based on the pilot episode. I just feel the general tone of the song captures all wynonna's bottled up feelings and frustrations.

last but not least if you're reading this you are a magical bean. how did you get through all of that? kudos to you sir/ma'am/non-binary friend
