'This is the big one': Trump vows to intervene in Texas lawsuit

President Donald Trump has vowed to intervene in a Texas lawsuit filed at the Supreme Court which is attempting to throw out voting results in four other states he lost to President-elect Joe Biden.

The lawsuit targets the election battleground states of Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin where Mr Trump alleges wide-scale voter fraud occurred.

In a tweet the president said, “we will be intervening in the Texas, plus many other states, case. This is the big one. Our country needs a victory!”

Mr Trump did not specify whether it would be his legal team or the Justice Department that would intervene.
