Noted freethinker and authour Ravichandran C here explaining the exploitative techniques resorted to by vasthusasthra experts in Kerala. This speech was conducted by Yukthivada Padana Kendram, Kochi at PVS Hall auditorium at North Paravoor, Ernakulam at 10 am-1 pm on 17.1.2016. Vasthu sasthram claims to be the ancient building technology of India. But it degenerated into crass exploitation of ignorant masses.

Ravichandran published a book on this topic in 2015 November viz 'VASTHULAHARI: Chooshanthinte Kannimoola(published by DC Books Kottayam). He explained the core details of the book in a hilarious fashion. He said that vasthusasthra was a superstition based on ancient building technique in India called vasthuvidya. There are acceptable, adaptable and rejectable elements in ancient building techniques, as far as the modern civilization is concerned.

But the superstition called vasthusasthra is ruthless exploitation and hence should be fully eradicated. Instigating fear and desire is the foundation equation of all superstitious beliefs like god, astrology and vasthusasthra etc. In the state of Kerala, exploitation by the vasthu experts are raphant-Ravichandran said. He also read out certain portions from his book. In the end, he also fielded questions from the audience.
