Trellis: Exhibiting collaborative artist and researcher projects on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
UCL ran an exhibition in October 2019, culminating a 10 month programme of collaborative partnerships between UCL researchers and artists with a relationship to east London.
This film highlights the commissioned partnerships and celebrates the results of their work.
Watch our film about the matchmaking event that kicked off the project https://youtu.be/SsFe37ib4Vk
And the relationship building phase over the summer 2019 https://youtu.be/rxeyYbjwF8g
The activity is part of the Trellis programme of Community Engagement, funded by the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account, which aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between researchers and communities and individuals based around the future UCL East campus.
We are working with UCL staff and research students who are interested in working in partnership with artists to create a work to be displayed on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in October 2019.
The activity is also part of the wider vision for UCL Public Art in creating opportunities for collaboration between artists, researchers and communities.
Works and collaborators are:
Artemis of the Lea, Amanda Lwin and Dr Tse-Hui Teh
Beyond Sight Within Grasp (Red, Yellow and Blue), David Rickard and Prof. Tony Kenyon with Beyond Sight Loss
Point Patterns, Alison Turnbull and Dr Elsa Arcaute with Hugo Glendinning
No Smell, No Dirt, No Trouble, Lucy Harrison and Efstathia Kostopoulou
