OBILIVION | Opening Scene | "Score Only" [HD]

I've been told that Narration is a poor form of storytelling. Now I don't believe this to be true in all cases because you cant tell me Morgan Freeman's narration in The Shawshank Redemption is nothing short of iconic at this point. For Oblivion the film opens with Tom Cruise narrating to the audience, saying what has happened to earth and what it's become. To me I thought the narration here wasn't needed and that leaving the audience with some mystery as to what is happening at the start would of made things a little more interesting.

So here is the opening scene to Oblivion with nothing but a few sounds and M83's awesome score.
