Especially for the Day of a Rescuer.

During the fires in the Chernobyl zone that raged in April 2020, I had to work as a thermal imaging drone operator. My task was to help the State Emergency Service, the forest fire brigade, the police, and other units involved in the fires extinguishing. The thermal imaging camera helped to record the centers and bounds of the spread of fire in conditions of heavy smoke.

But as it turned out, the main camera of the drone also worked as a bonus, so, in addition to a specific thermal picture, we managed to collect a video archive of the fire in high resolution.

So, before the Day of a Rescuer, which is celebrated in Ukraine on September 17, I start publishing the videos.

Спеціально до Дня рятівника.

Під час пожеж у Чорнобильській зоні, що вирували у квітні 2020 року, мені довелося попрацювати оператором тепловізорного дрона. Моїм завданням була допомога ДСНС, лісовій пожежній охороні, поліції, та іншим підрозділам, що були залучені до ліквідації пожежі. Тепловізорна камера допомагала фіксувати осередки та межі поширення вогню в умовах сильного задимлення.

Але як виявилося, бонусом одночасно працювала й основна камера дрона, тому, окрім специфічної теплової картинки, вдалося зібрати архів відео з пожежі у високій роздільній здатності.

Тож, до Дня рятівника, що відзначається в Україні 17 вересня, починаю публікацію відео.
