Cold Water Can Kill You
Even when the air is hot… …water can be cold.
If you fall into cold water, you can die in the first minute due to cold shock. Those that survive will begin to lose muscle control, even strong swimmers.
After that, hypothermia will begin to set in, in as early as 30 minutes.
Be Prepared:
- Always wear a life jacket
- Wear protective gear (wet suit, dry suit)
- Check the water temperature, and plan accordingly
