ADNAN OKTAR: One viewer says: "You don't care about the brotherhood of faith. You only care about the survival of Turkism. This is how the Turkish Islamists think and they use religion for their purposes". In other words, he says, "Turkism is the only thing they care about and they are just using the religion." First of all religion is a blessing. Secondly, brotherhood of faith is what God wants; it is commanded in the Qur’an. This is not our own opinion. God says: "Muslims are brothers." God says: "You are brothers and you should watch over one another". True believers watch over one another; they are each other's brother. Therefore, this is God's order. It is the duty of every single Muslim in the world. Not everyone might be doing it perfectly. Yet some might be doing it perfectly. But that’s a different subject. However, I do not think that I fail in the way I fulfill this duty. I believe that I fulfill the duty of Islamic brotherhood effectively insha’Allah. He says, "The survival of Turkism"... What do you mean with Turkish? Who is a Kurdish person then? He is also Turkish. Who is a Circassian? He is Turkish. Who is Laz? He is Turkish. How about Abkhasians or Zaza? They are all Turkish. Since we call them all Turkish, the name Turkish is a common name that includes all of them. There might be 75 different ethnicities in Turkey. What do we call them all? We call them all Turkish. Why does this bother you? There is no such thing anymore as pure Turkish people coming from the Oghuz family. There is no such thing as pure Turkish blood people. I call the Laz people Turkish; I call the Georgians Turkish; I call the Armenians Turkish. I call the Jews Turkish. I refer to anyone living within the borders of Turkey as Turkish. Why does this bother you at all? This is what Islam teaches us about brotherhood. But, there has to be a name to refer to this community. Can there ever be a community without a name? When people ask us about the name of this union of different ethnical groups living in Turkey, are we supposed to say "we do not know"? It has a name, that was given years ago. We have been calling them Turkish people ever since. That’s all. Turkish Islamists... I am talking about this so that you can understand; I am talking about it for you to understand it. It is said so because they got together under the leadership of Turkey and Turkish nation. You can never find a pure race anywhere, anymore. For instance, when you go to Kazakhstan, you'll see Kazakh Turks there. A great majority of them have mixed with the Russians. They have both Russian blood and Kazak blood. You cannot find a pure Kazak blood. They say the majority of the purest Turks are there, don't they? It’s the complete opposite actually. Also, the so-called purest Turk in Turkey must have a maximum of 10 percent Turkish blood in his genes. Look, maximum 10 percent. The rest would come from other ethnical groups such as Armenians, Laz or Circassian. Therefore, your claim is completely wrong. I’m explaining it to you scientifically. These people think that I am crazy about Turkism. There is no such thing. Turkic countries have all been crushed because of the presidential system and as a result fell under the control of mafia organizations. Yet, their names are Turkic, as well. However, if you analyzed them, you would see that there are only a few Turkish people with pure blood. There is almost none but they are still called Turkic. And this is how it should be. There should be a name. As for Germany, we call all the inhabitants Germans. There must be at least 75 different ethnicities living in Germany. A great majority of them is Italian or French.
