First Lieutenant Daniel Nadel,1115361 7th Engineer Battalion, United States Army.For distinctive service in connection with military operations against the enemy from 14 July 1944 to 26 August 1944 in France. Lieutenant Nadel was commanding officer of an engineer company in support or our rapidly advancing infantry. Due to superb leadership and marked ability of Lieutenant Nadel, numerous difficult obstacles such as barriers, mines, streams and difficult terrain were successfully overcome. Many times under heavy enemy fire, Lieutenant Nadel and his company accomplished their mission. Lieutenant Nadel's skill, initiative and devotion to duty reflects great credit on himself and is in keeping with the highest traditions of our armed forces.
