यहाँ पर करीब 2 माह पूर्व मंदिर परिक्षेत्र के ज्ञानवापी परीसर में स्थित विवादित क्षेत्र के पश्चिम दिशा में निर्माण के लिए खुदाई कार्य के समय एक प्राचीन मंदिर के अवशेष मिले थे जिसकी सटीक स्थान आप अभी देख रहे हैं यहाँ पर इस समय निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है हम आपको मानचित्र की सहायता से भी यह समझाने का प्रयास करते हैं कि कहाँ पर मिला था वह प्राचीन मंदिर का अवशेष जिसकी की पुरातत्व विभाग कर रहा है जाँच, देख सकते हैं मित्रों की इसी स्थान पर से मिला था वह अवशेष जोकी ठीक विवादित ढाँचे से सटा हुआ है।

आपको बता दें की काशी विश्वनाथ धाम कोरीडोर का निर्माण करीब 800 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से किया जा रहा है एवं वर्षा ऋतु के पश्चात अब मंदिर का निर्माण कार्य और भी अधिक गति के साथ क्रियान्वित हो रहा है। और इस समय निर्माण में करीब 1 हजार मजदूरों से कोरोना महामारी के बचाव को देखते हुए सावधानी के साथ काम को तीन शिफ्ट में कराया जा रहा है। वहीं सरकारी आंकड़े के अनुसार मंदिर के भव्य स्वरूप का निर्माण अपने तय समय अर्थात अगस्त 2021 में पूरा हो जाएगा।

बनारस के विश्व विख्यात श्री काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के पास ध्वस्त किए गए मकानों की जगह अब बाबा विश्वनाथ के निर्माणाधीन कॉरिडोर का भव्य स्वरूपमय अवतार अब सामने आने लगा है। कॉरिडोर किस रूप में होगा और किस तरह से पत्थरों के पिलर्स के बीच से लोग होकर गुजरेंगे यह दिखने भी लगा है। बता दें कि जयपुर में तराशे गए करीब 65 हजार क्यूबिक फीट गुलाबी पत्थरों की पहली खेप बनारस आने के बाद इसे लगाने का काम अंतिम चरण में है तो पत्थरों की दूसरी खेप का आना भी आरंभ हो गया है। राजस्थान, गुजरात समेत मिर्जापुर और अन्य जगहों से आ रहे पत्थरों के प्रयोग से स्ट्रक्चर अब तैयार हो चुका है। हालांकि कोरोना काल मे लॉक डाउन के कारण कुछ दिन काम बंद था परंतु अनलॉक शुरू होने के साथ ही श्री काशी विश्वनाथ धाम के निर्माण और सुंदरीकरण का कार्य की भव्यता खुली आँखों से देखने को मिल रही है।
