What Is Cyber Culture featuring Brother Cane - 1993 Bellsouth VHS

Bellsouth produced this promotional / educational video with host Damon Johnson of the band Brother Cane for middle and high school students, explaining what so-called "cyber culture," which was basically referring to all the amazing things you could do on the internet in 1993, with a glimpse into the future. Naturally, there was a focus on corporate anti-piracy propaganda (or proper media ethics if you're not so anarchic). Later in the video, Brother Cane performs "There," which seems to have been written just for Bellsouth. Also, watch for Damon to flip his hair about every 3 seconds! LOL!

BellSouth was one of the seven original Regional Bell Operating Companies after the U.S. Department of Justice forced the American Telephone & Telegraph Company to divest itself of its regional telephone companies on January 1, 1984. They were acquired by AT&T in 2006.

Technical: captured from educational VHS tape with hi-fi stereo sound at SP speed. Minor luminance and color corrections applied. Upconverted to 1080p60 to preserve image quality and motion.
