Was Sonny Corleone a Bad Don? Who Would Win Sonny Corleone VS Michael Corleone?
Sonny did inherit a lot of Vito’s characteristics, however his reckless nature and temper led to his downfall, and prevented him from rising to the rank of don.
Sonny was there to watch his father the don, build an empire from absolutely nothing to an empire worth billions 💰
After the attempt on Vito, Sonny was thrust into he position of acting boss where he had to ensure the family was able to survive this well laid out trap. And he does actually achieve this, although later on he would make some critical mistakes, sonny was by no means a completely incompetent leader. He managed to lure out the traitor who set up Vito, he had the dons of the other five families cower into hiding, proving his ability to go head to head with these highly skilled veterans in the mafia. In which is no small task, having to withstand the wrath of 4 major families, let alone at once. But why did Vito say that Sonny was a bad don? And how does Sonny compare to his younger brother Michael?

This video is split into 2 sections, the first is going to analyse whether or not Sonny was a good don, and in different circumstances, could Sonny have transformed himself and truly become a don worthy of leading the Corleone family.
