One pedal solution for single channel amps (no it's not distortion)

As much as I like my Blackstar HT1R as a practice amp but I dislike the fact that it has no footswitchable channels and besides that: it shares the volume and gain knob between the two channels. I've come up with this solution to switch between a clean and dirty sound using a Boss LS-2 or the Zoom Multistomp 70CDR with its Line Selector effect. So instead of adding dirt via an overdrive or distortion I use these pedals as a booster or attenuator.
