IT TAKES A VILLAGE - Nigel Kerr, coronet Peak Ski Area Manager

Coronet Peak was New Zealand’s first commercial ski field opening in 1947, pioneering the first rope tow and implementing the largest snowmaking capability in the southern hemisphere.

It’s also renowned as a ski racer’s destination, a Southern Hemisphere base for some of the world’s top alpine athletes during our winter season.

Nigel Kerr, long-standing Ski Area Manager of Coronet Peak & sidekick Oscar, reflect on the Peak, the community it serves, and the role the Coronet team has played in supporting world-class alpine racer Alice Robinson on her journey to the Olympics & World Cup circuit.
