Waymo robo-ride in SF with a senior Waymo developer as we chat

Companion text article at: https://www.forbes.com/sites/bradtempleton/2023/01/19/i-get-back-in-a-waymo-to-ride-in-san-francisco-with-a-top-waymo-developerits-getting-close-video/
In December, I got the chance to ride in a Waymo with no safety driver in San Francisco. With me was Andrew Chatham, a very senior technical guy at Waymo. (I worked with him 10 years ago when I was there.) We caught up and talked about the car and the remaining issues. He couldn't answer everything, of course. We also got a nice drive, though no one drive proves a vehicle is ready.

My main goal was to ride, not film, so I didn't set up my camera very well and the camera stopped partway, but you may find some interesting details, and we had to deal with many double parked cars, pedestrians, left turns and more. See the companion article for more analysis.
