ILYUSHIN IL-76 LANDING + Departure - "The Vodka Burner" (4K)

The Ilyushin IL-76 is one of my favorite planes just because of its optical uniqueness. That` s why I was thrilled to see this beauty at my home airport at Düsseldorf this week. The Ilyushin arrived empty from Pisa (Italy) to operate a Cargo charter flight to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. They transported parts for an oil production company.

If you know the Ilyushin 76 you might notice these huge engines which are not typical for the IL76. The IL76 shown in the video is an Ilyushin with modern engines. VDA operates five of these Ilyushin which are allowed to operate everywhere in Europe. IL76` s with classic engines don` t match the noise requirements in the EU anymore and are only allowed to land here with a special permission.
