2019 CORVETTE TECHNOLOGY IN MY 2001 C5 CORVETTE!?
Adding the infotainment technology equivalent of the 2019 Corvette into my 2001 C5 Corvette makes all the difference in the driving experience!
The C5 Corvette radio, or should I say the same radio as every other Chevrolet vehicle produced at that time, SUCKS. While the Corvette has features to rival even some vehicle models today, the radio was outdated and lacks any features of a car made in the past 5 years. Also, I myself LOVE music, and while the sound of a screaming V8 is always enough to put a tingle in my undies, I love a good drive with some of my favorite tunes. *NOT Lady Gaga of course****
Today we install the Pioneer MVH1400NEX double-din touch screen multimedia system. This head unit has awesome modern features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and much more. This COMPLETELY transforms the interior as well as driving experience of the Corvette and helps update the platform that is the C5.

In order to give the new double din center console a factory OEM appearance, it had to be painted using the utmost quality paint. That's where Color Bond came in and hooked me up with their LVP Refinisher in OEM spec Chevy Jet Black.

To prepare the surface of the center console, I used their prep cleaner and adhesion promoter to make sure the painting surface was in tip-top shape.
