The Painting Process – Episode 2 | Stella (Dog Portrait) – Golden Retriever With ACRYLICS

Often I see other artists sharing tutorials on achieving Realism with oils, but virtually none with Acrylics. I decided to start "The Painting Process" series as a way to share my techniques and provide the uniquely crafted approaches that I utilize for my own paintings. As I will show in this series it is possible to achieve a hi-level Realism without the use of oils, solvents, and 6 months to a year drying time...

In this video (Episode 2) we will be looking at painting a portrait of my Golden Retriever named Stella. For this particular painting I am using the "Zorn" Palette and I tried to provide any information I found to be beneficial when approaching painting fur and hair of animals.
