Hyenas - Africa's Wild Wonders - The Secrets of Nature

Viewed by most of the world as opportunistic scavengers, Hyenas are actually one of Africa’s top predators who are more successful at killing than lions! They are one of natures most amazing animals with a complex social structure where the top animal is actually the alpha female! This episode follows life at the den in this matriarchal setup where we see pups ranging from newborn to juveniles and we witness the excellent mothering of Hyenas. Time is spent at three different den sites in one of Africa’s unspoilt national parks.
