Microtese Explained!

Zero sperm count means there is no sperm seen in semen analysis.
But in some patients, sperm may still be present deep inside the testicular tissue.

This procedure is called MicroTESE (Microsurgical Testicular Sperm Extraction).

In this procedure, the doctor carefully examines the testicular tissue under high magnification, while embryologists search the tissue sample under the microscope to find even rare sperm cells.

For many men with non-obstructive azoospermia, this procedure can offer an important chance for biological parenthood.

Sometimes the search takes hours.
Sometimes only a few sperm are found.
But even a single healthy sperm can be enough for ICSI and future embryo formation.

This is why MicroTESE is not just a surgery — it is a combination of surgical precision, IVF lab expertise, patience, and hope. ❤️
