Tailscale on UGREEN Full setup without Terminal - Exit Node, Subnet Routes and MagicDNS (Advanced)

In my earlier tutorial, Tailscale was running in userspace mode, which didn’t work for some users. This time we will use Docker Compose ( and give access to host tunnel device) . Your basic tailnet will be up and running in under 2 minutes.

As an option I will also show you how to enable a few powerful features:

- Exit Node (optional): Route your internet traffic through your NAS

- Subnet Routing (optional): Access every device on your LAN through Tailscale. For example, if you have a LAN printer connected to the same network as your UGREEN NAS, you’ll be able to reach it from anywhere in your tailnet.

- MagicDNS: Access your machines using simple names instead of long IP addresses.

Docker compose used is here

command we use to enable MagicDNS, Subnet routing and Exit node is this. Change the 192.168 part to the ip series you use in your network.

tailscale up --advertise-exit-node --advertise-routes=192.168.0.0/24 --accept-routes --accept-dns=true
