Take a weekend trip away from Atlanta in Blue Ridge Georgia.
Blue Ridge is about an hour and a half from ATL and it boasts some of Georgia's highest elevations, so it isn't short on views.

2. Take a guided ride via horseback with Appalachian Trail Rides. From beginner to advanced you will love your ride experiencing mountain views, creek crossings, beautiful streams, and lakes, with experienced guides that are also family oriented.
3. Have a relaxing glass of wine while listening to live music at Paradise Hills Resort, Spa, and Vineyard.
4. Do a bit of vintage and antique shopping at the Pickers Barn. From vintage dishes to jewelry and everything in between they have so many things to choose from.
5. Last, but not least, and one of my favorites. Take a ride with Blue Ridge Scenic Railways along the Toccoa river, thru a beautiful forest, past a picturesque river, historical bridge, and be inspired by gorgeous views and stunning mountain homes.
