Trump grills ‘propaganda reporter’ and asks ‘do you work for China?’ after her pro-Beijing questions

US President Donald Trump has clashed with a reporter - working for a news outlet linked to China's Communist regime - after she asked him if he was "co-operating" with Beijing.

The President confronted the journalist at a White House briefing after she began listing medical supplies China had dispatched to help the United States.
During the briefing, the reporter said: "Only last week, there were multiple flights coming from China full of medical supplies.

"Companies like Huawei and Alibaba have been donating to the United States, like 1.5 million N95 masks and also a lot of medical gloves, and much more medical supplies."

Then she added: "Are you cooperating with China?"

But, suspicious, Trump responded: "Sounds like a statement more than a question.

"Who are you working for, China? Do you work for China?

"Or are you with a newspaper? Who are you with?"

The reporter replied that she works for Phoenix TV which she claimed was a "privately owned company".

But it has since emerged that the broadcaster is a Chinese media company based in Hong Kong with strong ties to the ruling Communist Party.
