Ponso and Estelle- Behind the picture

A quick check-up on Ponso, a lone chimpanzee living on an island in Ivory Coast in February 2016. He is the only survivor of a group of 20 chimpanzees coming from Liberia and abandoned by the NY Blood Center. He has been alone for almost 4 years. Estelle Raballand, a chimpanzee expert and founder of the Chimpanzee Conservation Center in Guinea, has been hired as a consultant by the coalition Sos Ponso.
