Quick Google Pixel 4a 5G screen repair

With my experience as a phone/tablet repair manager, I'm taking you through the simple process of fixing the screen of the Google Pixel 4a 5G!

I've had this beauty lying around since I think July of last year (2021) after I dropped it in the toilet. Placed it in a bowl of rice for 3 days, tried turning it on, it worked but the screen didn't look good anymore and wouldn't respond in all places. I layed it to the side and ordered the screen to do the repair but never got around to doing the actual repair. Yesterday I thought, why not now, and here it is. Fixed it in about 1 hour but that does include the time for heating up the screen (about 15min) and the time the book was on the screen (about 25min).

TIP: Easy fix but make sure you have a reliable source for buying the replacement screen!

Tools needed:
- Something to heat up the screen, I use a heating platform because it heats up evenly but a heat blower is also fine.
- Metallic opening tool to gently open the screen up so the glass and OLED won't shatter (more)
- One or more plastic openers (plectrum) to use for further opening up the phone
- Small tool to remove glue, I use my smartphone screwdriver
- Glue to close the phone back up (B7000 or B8000 work great, but I didn't have that at the moment so tried another manufacturers)
- Clamps or a heavy object for when the glue is drying
