Mayo Clinic School of Medicine Match Day 2018

Match Day is the date when graduating medical students across the country who have participated in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP) find out where they will go next to (hopefully) pursue their chosen specialty and residency program. Mayo’s Match Day event, sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, is a milestone for these future physicians.
The energy in the room was palpable as envelopes are handed out and students and their families wait anxiously. At the stroke of noon, the medical students ripped open their envelopes to learn their future journey and the room erupts in ear-shattering cheers and hearty hugs.

For graduating students at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, Match Day 2018 was the culmination of years of hard work, bolstered by the close ties and support of their school leaders, faculty and mentors.
