South Africa has made great strides since the inception of the Hydrogen Society in 2008 and is on the brink of commercialising hydrogen technology. Hydrogen is one of the most abundant gases in the universe and has immense potential as a clean, reliable energy source.
On Friday, the Department of Science and Innovation briefed Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Science and Innovation about the country's hydrogen economy plans.
