Aerosmith - Dude (Looks Like A Lady) Drum Cover

My drum cover of Aerosmith's Dude (Looks Like A Lady).

Always liked the song as it especially cruises and rocks throughout the whole song. The first single from their 1987 Permanent Vacation album, the song was co-written by Steve Tyler/Joe Perry with Desmond Child and charted well reaching #14 on the Billboard Chart that year.

Stemming from an incident where Steve Tyler was at a bar and mistook Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil as a lady with long blonde hair, this lead to his teasing by other band mates joking how that "Dude looks like a lady!," (Wikipedia) and thus the song's idea was formed. Originally, the song was going to be called "Crusin' for the ladies" but was talked out of it by Desmond Child.

On this cover, I am just laying down what drummer Joey Kramer recorded. A lot of interesting accented parts as well as that great pocket drumming of his, there was nothing more I could add. Ok, a few more accent/cymbal hits from time to time but nope, I am just following along. Best to stay out of the way at times too. Besides, I just want to fall in that groove while hitting hard, you know?

Anyway, here it is. I hope you dig it. Real fun to play this one as I haven't heard this song in a long time--forgot how cool it was!
