After the Fact: Retired Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio believes Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. should be disqualified from the 2022 presidential race. His statement comes after civic groups filed a petition for Marcos' disqualification which centered on his 1995 conviction of failing to file income tax returns when he was vice governor and later, governor of Ilocos Norte. Carpio emphasized it was Marcos' father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr., who put this into law when he was the country's president.
