1/2” Dado Plane

Testing out a 1/2” Dado Plane. Unknown hardwood, I don’t recall where I got the scrap of lumber. The knicker is made from an old table saw blade and the iron from an old lathe chisel. The inlayed brass holds a simple, adjustable depth stop (not yet installed when I recorded the video). I ended up applying boiled Linseed oil and buffed with wax for a smooth finish. I made it after deciding to make a set of drawers completely by hand. The dado joint is for holding the back of the drawers.
