Improved DIY N95 Mask Prototype

Laser cut cardboard frame and filter material. This mask prototype, with dual MERV12/True HEPA filter combo, met n95 standards (fit and filtration) when tested on a PortaCount. Results will vary depending on quality of filtration materials used and quality of construction. I'm sharing this with the goal of allowing individuals as well as hospitals and other medical professionals the ability to make something even better than a basic bandana or cloth mask.

In real life I'm a piano technician (and former EMT with the Shelby County Tennessee Sheriff's Office) who both services pianos and "micro" manufactures parts for pianos and especially player pianos. I'm not a professional mask maker. Take these suggestions, research and improve on them. Use better materials or NIOSH certified masks if you can get them.... this is just a mask that falls somewhere in between a certified N95 and a bandana of last resort.
