Report on Turkey following her visit to the country from 1 to 5 July 2019

Administration of justice
Restore judicial independence and impartiality
Restore procedural fair-trial guarantees
Undertake a complete review of criminal legislation
Tackle the judicial reform more comprehensively
Ensure the effectiveness of remedies, incl. the individual applications to the Constitutional Court
Ensure respect for human rights in fighting terrorist organisations

Human rights defenders and civil society
Stop misusing administrative and judicial actions to silence them
Remove the legislative, regulatory, administrative and procedural obstacles to their work
Establish transparent and objective criteria and procedures on funding, consultation
Revoke the obligation to register all members of NGOs in a centralised database
Lift open-ended and indiscriminate bans on NGOs activities

Lift restrictions to procedural defence rights
Allow lawyers to work freely and safely
