Welcome to Movie Shortens. Goksung, a small rural hamlet buried deep in a damp mountainous region, is shrouded in legends of demonic activity as a rare spate of brutal murders, coupled with a flaming outbreak of an inexplicable virulent sickness, bring devastation to the once-peaceful village. No one is spared from this silent but terrifying curse, not even police sergeant Jong-goo's only daughte, Hyo-jin, whose frail little body is already showing indications of the illness. The community's suspicions are increasingly directed at the recently arrived recluse foreigner who lives high in the mountains; nevertheless, is he truly the source of all evil?
