SNOW LEOPARDS RESCUE IN TAJIKISTAN MOUNTAINS -2020

From October 7, 2019 untill May 2, 2020 in different parts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (Pamir) of the Republic of Tajikistan, 10 cases of snow leopard attack on villagers' pets were recorded. With every attack, snow leopards destroyed dozens of small cattle. In seven cases predators were caught. However, not one of the owners of the killed animals, despite the atrocities and the enormous damage caused, did not kill the predator.
All the victims, as conscious and informed citizens about the spiritual and cultural significance of the snow leopard as the rarest animal, gave him life and appealed to others to defend the predator.
