What's up everyone, Patrick here, and today I'll be reviewing TotalAV antivirus software. Now TotalAV is an anti virus software suite of tools available on Mac, Windows Apple and Android mobile devices as well. And in this video, I'll be breaking down some of its core features in determining whether or not it's actually worth getting. So starting off with the first feature TotalAV is real-time antivirus software.

Now real time antivirus just means that at all times when you're using your device, it's running in the background, constantly protecting you and looking out for your security. Now, this is an awesome, awesome feature. But one of the drawbacks can be performance. And that's one of the biggest negatives as far as other antivirus software out there is they can run a little slower when you're running real time antivirus.

In fact, AV-TEST which is an antivirus testing organization that tests other antivirus software and gives them performance reports based off of specific features in TotalAV has actually one of the highest scores in the industry. Now had you asked me this a couple years ago prior to 2020. That wouldn't be the case. In fact, they were a little bit slower.

Now Web Shield uses artificial intelligence and crowdsourcing to help find some of the dangerous websites that are online anything from a potentially malicious website phishing website, or something that's just trying to steal your information. They've already got a huge repository of websites to avoid and will actively help you stay away and steer clear of these websites while you're browsing online.

The next feature is the data breach check. So one of the big things about being online and having so many different accounts is you can have an email, but a lot of people end up reusing passwords for different accounts.

And if a data breach happens, and they grab your email and password, it can go up for sale on the dark web. And if that happens, then you've got to change your password. But if you don't know that it's happened to how will you ever know to do that. This is where the data breach check comes in, you can go into TotalAV and request one yourself.

And then you can take the appropriate steps in order to make the changes you need to do which I would suggest changing passwords making sure you don't have a duplicate password on multiple accounts or worst case scenario contacting your financial institution to cancel or change cards.
