Ivanka Trump rumoured for Senate run

Senator Marco Rubio has brushed off the prospect of a political challenge from Ivanka Trump as speculation mounts over the family's next move.

At least three members of the Trump family are reportedly considering runs for office.

“I don’t really get into the parlour games of Washington; I don’t need to tell you that when you decide to run for state election in a state like Florida, you have to be prepared for its competitive race, you run it like a competitive race and that’s what I’m prepared to run,” Mr Rubio said.

Curtin University’s Professor Joe Siracusa says a senate seat could only be just the beginning for Ivanka Trump, adding she would likely have a shot at the presidency.
