📦 SQL Accounting Tutorial: What Is the Extra Delivery Order Function
In this video, I’ll explain the Extra Delivery Order (Extra DO) function in SQL Accounting Software and when you should use it.
The main purpose of the Extra Delivery Order is to provide a Delivery Order document as a reference for customers after a Sales Invoice has already been issued.
⚠️ Since issuing a Sales Invoice in SQL Accounting already deducts the stock quantity, the Extra Delivery Order will NOT deduct any additional stock.
It is purely for documentation and reference purposes. 📄✅
🧾 Key Points About Extra Delivery Order:
1️⃣ Once a Sales Invoice has been issued, you cannot transfer it back to a normal Delivery Order
2️⃣ Instead, you can transfer the Sales Invoice to an Extra Delivery Order
3️⃣ The Extra Delivery Order does NOT affect:
-Stock quantity
-Stock cost
-Inventory valuation
4️⃣ To create an Extra Delivery Order from a Sales Invoice:
-Go into the Sales Invoice transaction
-Right-click inside the document
-Select Transfer to Extra Delivery Order
-Save the document
5️⃣ After saving:
-Click Preview
-Select the report format you want
-Send the Extra Delivery Order to your customer as a delivery reference 📤
💡 Important Tip (Best Practice):
If your business process requires the Delivery Order to deduct stock quantity,
you should:
➡️ Issue the Delivery Order first,
➡️ Then transfer it to Sales Invoice.
This ensures correct stock movement and system control.
🎯 That’s it!
Now you understand what the Extra Delivery Order function is and when to use it in SQL Accounting.
