How To Drive A Truck - HILL START & HILL ASSIST in a VOLVO TRUCK

Luke Watson, from Ian Watson's Driving School, explains how to use Hill Assist, when driving a Volvo truck and how to do a hill start using the park brake.

Hill Start with an Automatic Transmission
Step 1 - park brake on and foot brake off
Step 2 - apply accelerator gently
Step 3 - release park brake

How to use Hill Assist with a iShift Automatic Volvo truck
Step 1 - turn hill assist ON
Step 2 - foot on foot brake
Step 3 - move foot from brake to accelerator and move off
