Q: But it was Tyra's phone.
A: Perhaps yes. But chances are it was not. Tom gave his phone to Tyra beforehand. He said to Tyra "bring your phone and unlock.." For us, it sounds like it was Tyra's phone. To Tyra, it meant "bring the phone in your *possession* and unlock.." It was an art of speech. If it was really Tyra's phone, it needed to be tampered with before the act for the trick to work (regardless of using Toxic/Installing a fake calculator). It is not likely Tyra (or anyone) would allow a stranger to touch her phone.

Q: No. it is a Toxic calculator trick ### + 0 x 0 x (.. etc =
This cheap calculator hack does not work in all calculators. At least it doesn't work in the Windows calculator. So this approach is simply not safe! And besides, the following would ruin this cheap trick:
a. Don't you always press "cancel" first before you start entering your inputs? if not, you should develop this habit! And do you often hit the wrong key when using calculators? If Tyra made a typo and needed to "cancel" in the middle to restart. The whole trick would be ruined.
b. Tom needs to tamper with Tyra's phone beforehand for this cheap trick to work. The success of Tom's act counted on Tyra's approval to tamper with her phone. Do you really think he lined up all day for the audition and rely on this slim chance?

Instead, it is much easier and reasonable to request Tyra to use his phone. With his phone in use, a fool proof way is to have a fake calculator pre-installed to avoid both issues above.

Q: No, it was Tyra's phone and it was the Toxic calculator trick:
A: Let's analyze the risk involved if this is what you suggested:
a. the trick fails if Tyra does not allow Tom to tamper with her phone before the act.
b. the trick fails if Tyra's phone calculator behaves like the Windows calculator.
c. the trick fails if Tyra press 'cancel' at any time during the calculations to make corrections.
d. the trick also fails if Tyra closes the app after Tom tamper with her phone before the act began.
Now consider giving Tyra's a hacked phone using the method as described in the video: no risk! Which approach would he choose?

Q: The audience phones lit up with different colors. How?
A: This is not any trick or hack to anyone's phones. If it did, there are huge security issues in the iOS and Andriod. The Apple and Google stocks would be falling like stones today! His performance was video edited to cut out the 'junks'. A lot of what actually happened was edited out. It is certain audiences were asked to install an app or visit some URL if they wanted to win a chance to be invited up to the stage. Not everyone like to install or visit some unknown URL. So that's why you can see less than half the audiences put their phones up . This kind of app can be developed in 10minutes and put in Google Play.. Not complicated at all.

Q: How do you know Tyra typed 12345678?
A: We didn't say she did. We tried to tell you her input value did not affect the outcome of the calculation. We only used 12345678 as an example.

Q: If you are so smart, why don't you go to AGT yourself instead of revealing other's trick?
A: We have never made any claim who are smarter. It is not the purpose of our videos to show off what we can do. Instead, the purpose is to show what we like to do: analyze, share and educate. That's all. In fact, some acts are not analyzable due to different factors. Some acts just don't have enough information display on TV for analysis and for us to draw any reasonable conclusions.
