Bengaluru Hit by Season’s Heaviest Rainfall: Roads Flooded, IMD Issues Yellow Alert | Shorts

Bengaluru witnessed the season’s heaviest downpour early Monday morning, resulting in severe waterlogging, traffic jams, and disruptions across the city. The rain began around 1:30 AM and continued for over six hours, flooding key areas like Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Shanthinagar, and Subbaiah Circle. The CCB office in Shanthinagar was partially submerged. Morning rush-hour traffic came to a halt in several zones.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and 23 other Karnataka districts, forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 60 km/h until Thursday. Residents are urged to stay alert and follow safety precautions.
