Rzhev 1942 - The Meat Grinder WWII Airsoft

The event focused around small unit actions during the Rzhev offensives on the Eastern Front. The battles were during the winters of 41-42 and 42-43. The Rzhev campaign nicknamed the "meatgrinder" was an extremely costly campaign for the Russian high command. The Russians had army strengths equivalent to those on the Stalingrad front but were unable to pull off their desired encirclements in the area of the battles around Rzhev. Still, the attrition hurt the Germans more than it did the attacker and it kept constant pressure on the invader.
