2012 Cardboard Design Competition

We challenged the city of Dallas to CUT IT OUT! Cardboard in many ways represents what the Hunt Institute is trying to accomplish. With some creative thinking and innovative thoughts process, cardboard can be applied to numerous different practical uses. In a week dedicated to the aid of humanity through engineering, cardboard was a focal point of affordable, sustainable housing for displaced people in a growing world population. CUT IT OUT Cardboard Competition brought together entrants young and old. Structural engineers were among entrees into this year's competition for a change at a trip for two to Cardboardia in Scotland, UK! Ali Gozad was the Grand Prize winner of 2012's contest. CUT IT OUT 2012 was an incredible kick off to the Hunt Institute's Engineering & Humanity Week 2012.
