Toothill Rock views Alton Towers Train Station Castle & Flag Tower 2022

I parked next to the entrance to this walk in Alton Village in Staffordshire (just around a sharp bend on 'Red Road'). It's probably only about a 10 minute walk to the top of Toothill Wood from this point that is the rocky outcrop of Toothill Rock. Toothill Rock gives good views across the area from a very high vantage point. In days gone by children would sit upon Toothill Rock and watch the steam trains arriving and departing Alton Towers train station (featured) which used to serve the Earl of Shrewsbury's Alton Towers mansion house and estate (it's now the famous theme park). In the video you can also see Alton Castle (not to be mixed up with Alton Towers) and the top of the Flag Tower at Alton Towers. I need to warn that it is a very sheer drop from Toothill Rock so great care should be taken when reaching the very top.
